Liver and Onions

Makes 4 servings (4 oz. per serving)

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. canola oil 
  • 2 cup onions, thin slices 
  • 16 oz. beef liver, cut into 4 pieces 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • ½ cup red cooking wine 
  • 1 tsp. pepper 

 

Preparation

  1. Warm canola oil on medium-high heat in a pan. Add onions and allow to cook and slightly caramelize for 5-10 minutes. Add liver and garlic. Cook for another 2 minutes. 
  2. Add red wine and scrape any stuck-on pieces off from the bottom of the pan. Reduce heat and cook for 10-15 minutes. Add pepper. 
  3. Serve and enjoy!
